Changing the life of seniors one baby at a time

What we do

We are a network of babies and their caregivers, enriching the lives of seniors one baby at a time

The lives of seniors and children throughout our community

a senior’s day

the next generation of volunteers

We are a network of babies and their caregivers, enriching the lives of seniors one baby at a time. We believe that in every community, there are seniors who can benefit from the simple joy that babies bring. We believe that the resources needed to bring love, happiness and quality of life to our seniors can be found in our communities, our families and in our children. We believe that uniting seniors with babies is a powerful and practical way to enhance their quality of life. Baby Days are unique interactions but woven together, create a movement that is changing the lives of seniors one baby at a time. Baby Days help our seniors feel valued and cared for.

Founder/President and CEO

Founder/President and CEO

Jessica Turner is the Founder/President and CEO of Babies Who Volunteer Inc. She is responsible for the strategic vision, daily operations, and overall management of the organization. Jessica is a firm believer in the magical powers of babies and through her strong leadership, the magic is continuing to spread.
Jessica has a passion for helping people and started volunteering at a long term care home beside her house when she was only eight years old. This experience at an early age had a profound impact on her and lead to a life-long commitment to volunteerism and to giving back to the community. Jessica has volunteered in a variety of settings with seniors, as well as children with special needs.

Jessica graduated with Honours from the Developmental Service Workers program at Algonquin College and since 2010, has been a Educational Assistant for the Catholic School board. Although she loves working with children in the classroom, she has a special soft spot for seniors and babies. When she isn’t at a long-term care home with her little one making the seniors smile, or working behind the scenes with her team, she is spending time with her three amazing kids, Aiden, Hope and Amelia. She also enjoys nature and animals.

Precious moments

There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.

Carling Carefor Day Program

“I hope to instil in my son the importance of volunteering in the community and caring for others. I’m so glad we could participate in this program to start living these values together as a family (even in his infancy!), and I’m proud that he was able to use his cuteness for good!”

Bernadette Simard (Mom)

“The residents were really happy and excited at the sight of the young ones. Honestly, it is one of the most emotionally triggering activities that I have ever seen in long term care.”

Salvation Army Grace Manor

“it was truly wonderful to have the little ones here and the residents loved it! There was a wonderful energy during the visit and it warmed my heart.”
